Frequently asked questions
What is Map.Trade?
A discipline-first trading workspace: import your statements, then review analytics, prop-risk, and behavior. It never sends signals, gives advice, or executes trades.
Who is it for?
Forex and prop traders who want to review risk, behavior, and performance before the next trade — not people looking for tips or signals.
How do I import my trades?
Upload an MT4/MT5 HTML or XLSX statement, or a broker CSV where available. The parser reconciles P&L to the statement total. No broker password required.
What happens if I import the same statement twice?
Duplicate trades are detected by a fingerprint and skipped, so re-importing is a safe no-op.
Do you need my broker password?
No. Map.Trade is import-first and read-only. We never request broker or account passwords and never place trades.
Can the product trade for me?
No. There is no execution capability — it reviews your history, it never trades.
Where is my data stored?
Data-residency defaults to the EU region. You can request export or deletion of your data.
Are the calculators free?
Yes. The position-size, pip-value, prop-risk, and drawdown calculators are free and public — no account required.
What does the Review Coach do?
The Review Coach is rule-based (not AI). It surfaces performance patterns from your own imported or journaled trades in plain language — strengths, mistakes, patterns. It never gives buy/sell signals or financial advice.
How does the prop-risk monitor work?
You enter your firm’s limits and import your history; it computes daily-loss, max-loss, target, and consistency buffers. It is not affiliated with any prop firm.
Is there a free trial?
Yes — a 3-day full-access trial of the Pro features. After it ends your data is kept; Pro features lock until you upgrade. (Checkout is being finalised.)
Is this financial advice?
No. Everything is review and education. Map.Trade provides no signals, no advice, and no trade execution.
