Discipline
Sticking to your plan and rules even when emotions push otherwise.
Definition
Discipline is the habit of doing what your plan says regardless of how you feel in the moment — taking the trade when conditions are met, skipping it when they are not, and respecting your risk rules. It is widely considered the difference between consistent and erratic results, and it is something a journal can help you measure and build.
Example
The setup you wait for does not appear all morning, so you take no trades. Resisting the urge to force something is discipline in action.
